OMG, I am finally seeing some light!
Brief background:  When I started IV Rocephin in February, my CD-57 level was 16.  I was so sick - months went by with little change CD-57 went to 18 in April.  So I was tested for co-infections - found Ehrlicia and started on Doxy 400mg daily (along with the Rocephin).  Started feeling improvement in about a month.  This last visit (7/14) reported feeling even more improvement especially neuro symptoms.  My temperature was near "normal" - 98.4 (usually ran 97.1-97.6).
Well - CD-57 is 42!!!  Yes, it is still low (normal values 60-300), but to jump that many points just since April is so encouraging to me!  When I went to the ER last week with my gallbladder issue, the idiot ER doctor "just could not understand why my doctor had me on antibiotics for so long" - I tried to explain the best that I could through his god complex brain that long-term treatment is necessary - I didn't even go into the fact that there is no cure and that even when I am improved, I may end up pulsing on oral abx for the rest of my life.
Just wanted to share - I know there are side effects to doing this but I would rather lose a gallbladder than my life.

Lala, I am so happy for you. I'm right there with you and would much rather lose my gallbladder than my life.

Wow, what great news! I love hearing about people getting better.

What are they going to do about your gallbladder?
