I have started getting some symptoms like wind on my hands or face feel like ice cold water or something like that or reverse all of a sudden they turn red and feel hot and burning.  I started getting this a week after starting avelox.  I stopped taking it because on the info. sheet it is part of rare/serious nerve damage side effects.  So I am not sure if herxing or what.  It seemed to stop when I stopped the avelox.  Well, so much for that it just happeded again this weekend.  So now I am more confused than ever.

Anyone have these sensations before abx?

I have gotten these sensations before starting any meds and still have them from time to time after being on meds. Feelings of very cold or even hot rain drops. Feelings of things crawling across my arms and face but nothing was there. Never had them turn red but my face would look puffy or slightly swollen in the mirror....only noticeable to me, but noone around me saw the changes. They would just look at me like I was making it up.

THis is a common symptom of Lyme--I call them fantom sensations. I have had all of what you mentioned, it has for the most part gone away since treatment began 2 1/2 years ago. Occasionally I still feel cold drops on my skin ans crawling sensations but not that often.

OMG! I get this and tried to explain it to my husband. The 1st time I noticed it was a few months ago when a cool breeze went accross my arm and I asked him if it was raining. It felt like cold rain drops splashing on my arms. Happens when I wash my hands in cold water too. Its a new symptom of mine. I have been on doxy & biaxin and treating for 10 months.

Does anyone get this one?
If you touch hot water (or go into a hot tub) it feels as if you lit your skin on fire??

I also have severe heat intolerance and it causes fatigue. Not sure if they are related though?

I've had this happen before. Not with wind but randomly I would feel like something cold or a drop of water was on me somewhere.

Weird.

Wow, I was watching tv last night and felt cold rain drops on my arm. I actually looked up to see if there was a leak in the ceiling. And, this is a Lyme symptom?? Amazing. What causes these strange sensations, disruption in the brain?? D

I had this for a few years in the beginning. I could not stand air conditioning blowing on me in any way!

Thanks so much for you feedback.  Does anyone have any idea if is to do with lyme or bart./babs. or mycoplasma instead?  Do any of you have a pressure on the back of your head like a weight pushing down or a weird sensation running down your spine and feel like your floating or not in your body?

Dowa Are you positive for any of the coinfections? Are you in treatment (what are you on?)?
