Since I have an appointment with an LLMD on August 6th, I decided not to buy a second round of my natural treatment, as I wouldn't use even half of it, and it is expensive. But in the two days since it ran out, I've really gone down hill. My muscle twitching (which was gone) is back, along with tremors/shaking in my hands. And I am so exhausted that even breathing is an effort. Of course- I had insomnia last night, so that wouldn't have helped things. And I had an appointment to try and get a referral to a neurologist, and it was like pulling teeth (this was actually after I made the post about bad doctor's appointments).  The doctor was dead sure it was an STD, and wouldn't believe me when I said that I haven't ever had sex. Apparently it's a pre-requisite for people my age.
I just want to curl up in bed, but I have a family even tonight on the other side of the city, so I couldn't even go home from work (I'm using the wireless at Starbucks right now).

I'm terribly sorry that you feel bad again. This disease seems endless sometimes. I know that when I get off my antibiotics, I may have a good half of a day, then I start feeling real bad again. Worse than before. It's like all the bacteria comes out at once.

Will you be getting on antibiotics or are you waiting to see what the doctor says?

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I think the only thing to do during these rough patches is to know that there is no other option than to push through. It sort of forces you to find strength that maybe you didn't realize you had.

It's frustrating and hard, but we all know we need to keep fighting.

We're here for you.
Current treatment (began June 10th 2009):
Biaxin 1000mg/day, Pulsing Flagyl 500mg/day 1 Week Every Month

Thanks guys,

I can't get on antibiotics until I see the doctor (can't find anyone to give them to me). So I've got to wait another two weeks. I'm hoping things level out before then, and don't just continue to get worse.

On the lighter side, I grossed out my co-workers when I turned my head and my neck made this really loud grinding/crackling/crunching noise!

I think I was told "Well, it's not syphillus" at least a dozen times in the beginning. I used to go to dr. appts. and begin by saying, "I don't have syphillus."..... but they always checked again!

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad but glad to hear that you have an appt. with a llmd soon. Hang in there and know it will get better.

As for your experience with the idiot doctor, I can't say what I really would like to here. LOL
