i was set up for a EEG yesterday, first off they booked 2 of us for the same time. the test takes 1 1/2 hrs. so i had a 3 hr wait more or less. then when he was cleaning the spots to place the things(using a Q-tip) i told him it was hurting me. like something was scratching me.

the tech said it was just a Q-tip, and then when he removed them and was cleaning the gunk from my head he said i have very sensitive skin. witch is true. but i shouldn't have the burn like sores all over me, like i do now.

my head hurts so bad now i can barely have anything touch it. let alone brush my hair today :(

has anyone else gone tho this and have it make sores?

I have an issue with the adhesive and every time I have sores after they remove them.

The last time when I have to leave it on for the 24 hr test....I had big sores, that actually weeped and crusted over for a week.

Maybe you have the same type allergy to the adhesive??

I have never had a reaction b4, and it was while he was cleaning the skin that i felt the scratching. long b4 he added the probes, and now i have what looks like rug burns on my forehead and in my scalp.

it was as if his fingernail was scratching me. when i told him this is told me it was just the Q-tip only touching me.

RD,

Was anything on the Q-tip? You may have had a reaction to whatever was on it. Or maybe he was scratching you and didn't realize.
