As a lot of you MIGHT know, I what I would call (and llmd) would call a glaringly positive WB from Igenex and a positive from Labcorp, CDC positive but only on the IGM side.

Another thing you might know is that I lost my marriage due to this and the divorce will be final in a month. So, there is a problem. But, health insurance never did me much good - I mean, look at me, I'm doubly worse than I was when I was diagnosed and that's an understatement.

My llmd in Tampa did not treat my Bart first, I wonder why? I don't know. The llmd worshipers will make an excuse or a reason, but from everything I've heard, we should have hit that first. But, none the less, it really doesn't matter.

I have a bottle of Levaquin and a bottle of Rifampin. I know none of us are doctors here but I know for a fact that some of you have taken this combo. I also have refills that are going to expire VERY SOON, so I really and pleading for some PMs to tell me how they did Levaquin and Rifampin.

Did you take them together? Pulse? Do one first? My doctor dropped me (and a few others from different boards, different doctor rating sources, etc) before he told me what to do with them. He said he would call but sent me a dismissal letter. So, I have these bottles and I'm going to use them. I also have a little bit of Flagyl left.

I also will order abx from an online pharmacy. Some people were kind enough to send me some info on how to buy abx and I'm going to do it if I can find the money. I will sell any little bit that I have to get them. I have nothing left after the divorce but baby clothes, baby stuff, etc. I'll make it work.

I also want to know about Penicillin. What drugs are Penicillin. I feel like if they use Penicillin (or that's what I've been told) for Syphilis, then why not Lyme? Or why not both? I do have a primary care for now and I will get my levels checked as much as I can to prevent death or further damage.

I never dreamed in a million years I would be doing this, but I have to get better, my son is 3 and he deserves a better life. I live in so much pain, I feel like a shell of a mommy. If no one else will help me, then I'm going to do it myself and I know there's others who have, so I want to be included.

PM me please. We aren't doctors and I know that, but we've been to enough and you guys have been to llmds (smart ones - just because one starts out with i.v. right off the bat and then drops you doesn't mean he's a good one) to know what to do.

Thanks to the health insurance companies who won't cover my treatment! Thanks to the testing that is inadequate! Thanks to the doctors that look at me like I'm from Mars! Thanks to the doctors who pass the buck! Where's Dr. House when you need him, right?

Please give me some ideas. I have Bart. and Lyme. I think I have the meds for Bart - Levaquin and Rifampin. I'd like to start there. Please, Please, Please, PM me.

I have never in my life sat around thinking of the best way to kill myself ever. Now everything I see, I think "Oh, I could hang myself on that so easy because I know it wouldn't break."

But I have my little boy, so I'm fighting. Please help.

Sick, looks like I am the first to post on here and I have little to no knowledge on the Bart. I also do not know anything about the meds you have right now. But I am here to tell you that you must hang on, you must be a Mommy, even if a sick Mommy, and you must pray for strength, just as we will pray for that for you. And you must keep begging on this forum, just as you have just done.

I am here to tell you the little that I do know. Penicillin is effective against Lyme. I do not know the doses, but I believe they are high. My LLMD says that injections are very effective because you can take a lot w/o affecting the digestive system. I will be taking high doses of Amox when my Doxy is gone.

I do not know anything about the chances of building resistance to penicillin, but surely someone here would know? I cannot advise you to take something like this w/o the help of a physician, but I also know you must do what you have to to survive. Maybe you/we will be able to find some answers on this.

My health dept is of no use, but other health depts might be if you need something as simple as penicillin. Please try to call them.
Penicillin is cheap. Maybe you could at least get enough to start feeling better and gathering the strength to move forward, if nothing else.

I think another important thing you should do is contact your county mental health dept. Since your mental health has been impacted so deeply, they will be able to help you and maybe would even know where you can get some phsyical help. There are agencies that maybe they can help you find.

Maybe they won't believe in Lyme, but you must make add'l copies of your labs and you must beg them for help. That is a start. Since you will only be asking for penicillin, I believe there is someone who may help you if you show them your labwork and explain it as best you can.

Even tho we are not MDs, you do have some meds prescribed by a physician, even tho he has written you off. In that case, I believe it is OK for others to advise you. But you'll need to gather all the advice you get and then try to reach a decision.

And even tho your Dr has dropped you, maybe you should try calling him again and again, at the very least to advise you on the abx you have now.

Please hang on. Someone will know where you can turn for help.

Hi 'Sick"
I too am faced with possible self-medicating for LD & co's as the closest LLMD is a minimum of 5 hrs driving time - each way. =(

The other thing about raising your son - I had two beautiful children while ill & raised them myself. I don't regret one single moment of this choice, as my kids & I are very, very close & I believe it does have a lit to do with the fact that they have never known me as a healthy individual. Not that I understand how it worked out that way - but it has continued to be the bright spot in my life!! Heck!! I even home schooled them!! Kids have this amazing power to understand that we can't be all that we may want to be.
I would encourage you greatly to just keep at your health & just do the best you can with your son. Honestly, I believe he will understand, as long as you are open & honest with him.
I regretting not having the energy to do more with my kids - but they have set me straight - they couldn't have been happier than they were even though I was & still am ill.
just do your best

You should try to look at the thyroid. the lyme throws off pituitary axis and thyroid can cause alot of pain, getting thyroid fixed can reduce pain.
The line is faded not showing where Lyme came in. I became a new Mommy n my Lyme decided to show itself. Swollen elephant like knee and finger and limiting back pain. Bell's palsey, weight loss as if I had no muscle on my bones anymore. And much more text book lyme symptoms. To a Lyme doc, after alot of there is nothing wrong with you and a recommend to counceling,he said V this is Lyme. What kept me pressing on I had Lyme while I was pregnant. I know I was not infected while pregnant. I am watching her with an eagle eye. God Bless everyone. Love Veronica. Were the ones who know about Lyme not the doctors. Isnt that just mad? Backwards. Alice in wonderland.

I have Hashimotos but my thyroid levels are normal? He won't give me anything for thyroid as my levels are normal at the moment. Can anyone PM me any pharm that will send me abx and penicillin without rx (I will have a doc check my blood but he's not writing an rx) or email me. That would help. I'm going to do an experiment, I'm going to slowly add in lots of different therapies and blog about it. I'm going to see if it gets me better. Docs have failed me, so I'm trying lots of stuff, BUT after I get LOTS of information...and maybe a Naturapath (sp) if I can afford it, which I doubt.

Any help? Ideas? Lists of pharms that I can TRUST? My email is nessarachelle@yahoo.com

Im So Sick, I sent you an email. that will get you pointed in the right direction but make sure you do ALOT of research on drug interactions, etc and perhaps consult your pharmacist before trying new things.
I would recommend that you get blood work done at least once every 2 months.  get cbc, cmp, liver levels, kidney levels at minimum.   it will be important to monitor these levesl so you can increase, decrease herbs, vits, and meds as needed.   with the longterm nature of treatment, you don't want to be flying in the dark while on many potent medicines.
good luck and hope you can get better.
