I'm starting to wonder if I have Carditis caused by these infections or toxicity. For the past two years, on and off, my heart will feel like it's swollen in my chest...makes me feel like I have to burp or something. I feel lightheaded and dizzy slightly also. This has been consistent for the past three days and prior to that I had a really bad episode of palpitations where my heart rhythm was just all over the place. I stopped the Biaxin and called my doctor. I am waiting for a call back now.

I'm thinking about going to the ER later tonight...because I have every symptom of Carditis. I can feel this sensation of swelling from the left center of my chest all the way up abought halfway up my neck on the left side. I keep swallowing or trying to burp but I know that's not really doing anything.

Does anybody have heart symptoms like this? I'm afraid it's going to turn into heart block or that one of these times I really will pass out.

Hi Jendays247.  I am sorry you are experiencing this.  How are you feeling now?  Have you heard from your doctor?

I have had many cardiac symptoms.  In my case, they were all from Babesiosis.   From what I understand, both Lyme and Babesiosis can affect the heart.

Jen, i have been meaning to answer alot of your questions about MS lately. But I just had the worst flying experience of my Life it took 3 solid days to go to Conneticut for a total of 22 hours. My Dr had new ideas for treatment. he believes Clamydia Pneumonia is my main cause of MS problems and Lyme isn't helping. He put me on ths Stratton Vanderbelt Protocol, Minocycline, Zithro I think, and pulse Flagyl. This is just an idea I am not sure if you have ever been tested for this.

Aww Jen, you're really not having an easy time of this, are you? That really doesn't sound like fun.

I've had occasional, very brief, feelings like my heart has skipped a beat, or had an extra beat (it's hard to tell exactly what happens- I can just tell that something went wonky). But I'm not sure if it's actually my heart, or just anxiety or heartburn or something.

I've been told that heartburn/reflux type problems can cause feelings that feel like cardiac symptoms. Since you mentioned burping, perhaps you should look into that.

But I wouldn't hesitate to go to the ER, if I were you. Better safe than sorry. You don't want to mess around with your heart.

Thanks youguys...I really appreciate it. The doctor said since the Flagy helped last time and since my lyme tests are inconclusive that it may in fact be a parasite or virus of some kind.
