i was talking to a very dear friend tonight and explained to her about what a ruff night i had. even b4 going to bed i was ringing wet from sweating. it was as tho i just got out of the shower. and it didnt let up till well after i woke up today.

not i am not on any abx to cause me to herx. but i did fix a turkey breast in garlic cloves. i know garlic is a natural abx. now i have always cooked with a lot of garlic. i like it and it does help keep the bugs away, LOL.

can this possible be why i sweated, a form of a herx? any input would be nice. thank you :)

i dunno, i've been taking garlic supplements for the last 2 weeks along with my ABX treatment, and i sweated hardcore last night, first time in a couple of months. i had to wash the sheets tonight..

i love garlic also.. i was eating it whole for awhile until my breath became over run by the smell.. so i switched up to supplements...

james. i have always used garlic in place of salt in all my food, even on eggs. but i dont think i could eat it all by itself. that sounds like it would be tuff. you goo..LOL

maybe it has something to do with the full moon the other night too. its just odd that i sweated like i did, as i never sweat in my sleep. but i keep waking up drenched in sweat. and soaked my pillow even :(

and here i sit tonight sweating away again :(
there is no reason for it as i have the A/C set on 70 and a fan blowing at me too. you would think i would be cold.

i also notice that i am not in as much pain for the last 2 days. i'm not sure if it due to the work i have with the puppies and the joy they bring me or if its connected to the sweating.
i think i would much rather sweat my butt of then hurt with pain tho.

Hey hunny:)

I agree that I much rather sweat than have pain too. I have waterproof makeup so I'm set! Ha!

once i stoped bartending i had no reason to ware it ;)

i always said if they dont like the way i look, then look elsewhere :D

but yes i would much rather sweat then hurt any day. i kinda hope it keeps up. i am even washing cloths right now. and thinking of doing the dishes next. who knows i may even try some other things why i feel so good. like you i already went to wal-mart today and picked up my scripts. played with the puppies and started them on puppy mush. boy what a mess they can make.
luckily momma helps to clean them all up.

Hi RD,

My best guesses are these:  Sweating is one of the ways the body tries to detox itself.  Maybe the garlic helped your body kill some of the bad guys and then it was time for the "cleanup" to begin.   OR, Babesia can cause bad sweats.   Because you felt better after the sweating, I think you got rid of some toxins!  Celebrate!!!!

Pet the puppies for me and give 'em kisses!    Best wishes to all of you,   bablymers mom

Hi RD,

Pretty much the biggest symptom of Babesia is absolutely drenching night sweats (or just plain unusual sweating). If you noticed your sweat smelled funny, or felt stickier than usual, that also points to Babs. I have very mild night sweats, and my LLMD still thinks its Babs- so I'd look into that if I were you.

Atermesia and Arteminisan are both natural treatments for babesia, that are supposed to work well.

Swaeting could be babs, bart or..............................thyroid. Besides babs, bart, lyme micoplasma -I have hashimoto's (hypothyroid). I have been treating those for over 2 1/2 years. It turns out that even after 2 years of mepron I was still sweating...After almost a year of bart treatment the sweats were getting even worse. LLMD could not explain it.... I experiemented and upped my thyroid dose which was too low to begin with and amazingly the sweating has stopped after the 3rd day of the higher dose. It has been 5 weeks now many symptoms have stayed away. After googling thyroid symptoms I discovered that my burning mouth, muscle and joint pain and fibro pain and more could be thyroid. In my case I think it was-because those issues have gone. Many things that I blamed on Lyme and co-infections it appears to have turned out that the thyroid was the culprit of course NOT ALL. I still have many Lyme symptoms but I am definately better.

Maybe you could get one of the doctors to check your thyroid and give you natural thyroid meds like armour or naturhroid-. Many times Lyme causes thyroid issues BIG TIME. It seems that thyroid tests are like lyme tests....not very reliable. But an experienced doctor who understand this will treat the symptoms.Google thyroid and lyme and see what you come up with.

Blessings

bablymers mom,
thank you for your thoughts. i think i will do a detox bath tonight if it happens again. so far today i am doing ok still. as for my knowing if i have any co infections. i need someone who believes in lyme and knows about it to work with first. and i play with the puppies many times each day, got your pets in :)

Nicky D,
thanks for your input also. i know went i was sweating so bad the night before and soaked my pillow it did stink to me. but i also can smell things no one else can too. not always a good thing.

minerals,
i dont know if my PCP will even lesion to me if i ask him to test my thyroid. i am not allowed to bring up lyme to his anymore. i feel as tho he has washed his hands of me now. and do to the medical program i am on he is the only 1 i am able to see. so i feel like i am stuck between a rock and a hard place right now.
i also thought that when you had thyroid troubles your nails would be brittle. mine are hard as bricks. many women pay a ton of money to have nails like mine. i do not let them grow over a inch tho as i hurt myself then..LOL
i am so happy your starting to get better now. keep up the good work :)
