I think this would also include those w/ CFS (?)  How high were your lab numbers?  Did your Dr give you a satisfactory  interpretation/ explanation  on these?  Or were you left on your own to figure it out?
Bit 1972: Acute and chronic tonsillitis, UTI, miscarraige, appendicitis, hypoglycemia,  chronic neck pain w/ crushed vertibrae, chronic severe back pain, mitral valve prolapse, depression, resolution?
Bit Mother's Day 2007: Lyme, Babesia microti, hypothyroidism, EBV, HHV6, Parvovirus B19, low adrenals &misc other hormones, depression, anxiety, more of the above.
What don't these nasty bugs cause?
CD57= 60, so we're in pretty good shape.

Hey Lyme,

I'm gonna bump your post up. I will look at my lab work later today and let you know what my numbers were.

Thanks, CajunGrl! My tests say 'high, out of range', yet the interpretation says indicative of past infection. When I asked my (ex) LLMD if all these viruses (and Babs) were active infections, and all he said was , 'Well, yeah, that's possible'. ?????

There are so many folks on here, including CajunGrl, who seem to know more about these labs than the LLMDs! Very frustrating!

Hey Lyme,

I don't know enough about these tests yet. It is only from researching that I know some things. I'm about to eat so I will probably post my results late tonight.

Did your doctor suggest treating you at all since your numbers were high?

Thanks, CG. He started me on 3500 mgs Amox for the lyme.  And he gave me a list of some natural stuff to order online for the viruses.  He did not diagnose them, he didn't seem to know what my numbers meant.

I don't know why he didn't start on the babesia, that is why I'm questioning here.  He ordered a bunch more tests, including another one for Babs,  which I am not going to be able to get done at this time because he's already cost me more than I have.

I called him about the Babs, left a message. Another reason I can't keep going to this Dr.  He does not return calls or emails, even tho I've paid him cash out of my pocket.

I'm trying to hold out to get into another Dr, and hoping the Amox helps until that time. At least I'm not really geting sicker in the meantime. Sometimes my brain stuff gets a lot worse for a period, same for that God awful depression -- it hits and then I go to the pits. Some of the pain is flaring on and off.  The fatigue MAY be slightly improved.  So, maybe I'm experiencing a little herxing and maybe the Amox is helping, we will see.

I've just gotta get in to another Dr. I would assume and hope that as the lyme gets better, maybe my body will be better able to fight the viruses, but I don't know. (I know it won't help the babs)

Meantime, I'd hoped someone on here could help with the lab numbers on the babs and the viruses. I'd really like to know if the high numbers mean I have these chronic infections or possibly indicated past infections?  (if anyone can, please see the original question)

Surely there are more of you out there w/ these kinds of lab results?

The numbers for viral titres are not really that important, as that's what I think.

You are right to get another doctor to start treating Babs. Some docs will start a little Lyme treatment initally and add on Babs treatment but it's unfair for you to not have a clear plan for Babs (Mepron and Azithromycin).

In the meantime you can start on Artemesinin (Allergy Research) or Enula, (Cowden/Nutramedix herbal for Babs).

Go slow as you will herx and tell your doctor what you are doing.

Whatever antibiotics you do for Babs do at least 4-5 months !!! Don't do less or you will relapse and when you are done with antibiotics continue herbals for 1-2 years.

And make sure that you don't need Bart treatment (based on symptoms) ie if mood problems are severe make sure your doc addresses Bart. Tests for Bart are often negative. Good luck.

In my opinion, I think the numbers for viruses are important if it is a current infection. Depending what the virus is....like HHV6, I was told that there was no treatment and that my body had to deal with it, just like the flu. This is what I was told by my old LLMD. I will ask my new LLMD what he thinks.

I do know that some viruses do need to be treated with Valtrex.

I'm still going to post my numbers. I've been feeling like doo doo lately and can't bring myself to deal with it all right now:(
