Hi all,

Back with another post...seeking advice.

I've posted before about my symptoms, which have included a lot of muscle twitches all over my body (especially biceps and eyelid). I've also had a really stiff neck for over a week.

Now I'm also having shooting, burning/tingling electric sensations randomly everywhere in my body!

I did have a tick bite three weeks ago with a rash, so I'm assuming it's Lyme and my doc (after running no tests) started me on meds for Lyme, which I've taken for three days.

But I'm worried about the muscle spasms and tingling, and I'm freaking that maybe I have MS! Should I go to the doc and ask about MS, or just finish out my treatment (2 weeks of Doxy)?

I'm scared--help! :(

Finish out the treatments before jumping the gun on MS.  You have lyme disease.  A neurologist won't even consider looking for MS until you have been successfully treated for lyme.  MS is a diagnosis of exclusion.  You won't get an MS diagnosis until all other causes have been ruled out.  If you have lyme, then they will just assume that is what is causing your symptoms.  Good luck!  I hope you feel better real soon.
Your symptoms are all seen in lyme.  Give that treatment a chance.

Geez...lucky you....sorry. But two weeks of doxy? What a bunch of #$%^&^%$#
That is about a stupid as giving someone two weeks of minoclycline for maleria!
Go on line and get the info. for IGENEX.COM....asap, and call them and have them send you a kit do do blood test asap.
Then talk to someone on the phone while filling out this complex form on the co-infections. There are a few that you should look into, like bartonella, babesisa, and erliciosis...sp???
Anyways have them run those main 4 for starters.
Take the form to your Dr. have him sign it and then you can run to a place to have your blood drawn for like 20.00 give them the directions.
You will take the glass tubs with case into them. They will fix it up for you. Make sure that they pay attention to the form.
Then fed x the blood back to them.
Have your blood taken on a mon-wed. So that when you overnight it, they put the return fed x in the package for you.
Quest and lab core draw blood. And there may be others that your Dr. can send you to. It only takes about...10 minutes.
Then they will mail the results to your Dr. or fax them.
Then you will know what else you may have.
Look into also.

Oh....the stuff that you mentioned is common with lyme. And the eye twitching is more likely to be belspalsy.
I had that too.
You can't get MS from a tick, but it sure can seem like that is the problem, and many people have all of the same symptoms of just about every single auto immune disease out there.
The bacteria that you get from the ticks, attack your central nervous system along with your immune system.
Run out and get yourself some Altra Collidal Silver from a health food store. And get take as much as you can, tastes like water.
The silver is not known as a threat to lyme and other bacteris and therefore does not protect itself from it.
It all passes through your body.
I wish that I had known about this stuff 5 years ago.
I got alot of it during my treatment at envita.
It is like an arrow and hits the bacteria and kills it. Unlike other abx the lyme knows when it hits your system and it send out and alert to all of the lyme bacteria in your body. And it wraps itself up in a hard shell.
Lyme only reproduces every 28 days.
So time is on your side.
I would also get some major vitamins like C and zinc and big packs that have like 7 in one bag...and take twice a day.
It will greatly help your immune system that is under attack now.
And only drink water and eat light and healthy so that your body can function at a high speed.

I have all of those symptoms you mentioned and I have Lyme Disease. When bacteria is being killed off in the body, they release toxins. These toxins are what causes the weird symptoms we get.

Gretchen's post was great. She has been dealing with MS for a while now. So, I hope what she said will give you some reasurrance.

Have you done a detox bath yet?
