Go and get some dry ice. Put a bunch of it in the middle of a big board. Leave it our in the middle of your yard or school campus for an hour or two.
Look and see what you have at the end of that time.
The most dangerous ticks, the larve, are so darn small...like white and half a grain of sugar.
If the board it dark and light it would help to see both the babies and the adult males. Who are as big as this +.
Ticks and flees wil flock to it and it will be covered with tiny bugs. I found flees galor and had my yard sprayed again.
The school came up clean.
They are attracted to the ice because it put off the same thing that our bodies put off....what is it....Carbon Dioxide?
Well....that is how they can smell us coming and smell our kids and our pets. It is not with their eyes.
This is also why they say to wear alot of clothing...so they cannot detect your smell.
But if you want to be smelly...take B-1
Note...be very careful doing this test. I suggest that if you live in a area with alot of ticks...then be very careful. Be sure that you have a big dose of b-1 in your system, a ton of deet...and a big bottle of clorox to poor on what you find. I would not pick the board up myself.
Just dose it with clorox and let your pest comp know...asap.
