Wow, so where do you get a doctor that will take this serious? I was on Doxy for 30 days. My symptoms were severe carpal tunnel, forgetfulness they attributed to lack of sleep from CT pain, painful knees and ankles. Was tested for Lyme and was pos on all bands plus IGG so they said second stage, I never recall a bite. I went to what I thought was a LLD paid $500 to get in the door, she took blood and sent it out to be tested for Lyme and other tick relateds. Tested negative. My knees got sorer I could no longer negotiate stairs, I was becoming crippled. I set up appointment to have Carpal Tunnel surgery. Then I figured I'd have an orthopedic check out my knees. Meanwhile, I got an upper respiratory infection, so I went out in the barn and got my Sulfa and Trimeth abx that we use on the horses. I calculated the dose, 800mg pid and start taking them, three days later I AM SKIPPING UP THE STAIRS!!! So my question is where do I gotta go to have a Dr treat me clinically according to my symptoms! HELP!!!

Hi notwell,

Welcome to the forum! I don't suggest anyone do this. This could be very dangerous.

Anyway, here is some information to help you find an LLMD:

You can email one of our long time members, Ticker at: to find an LLMD in your area. If you'd like more suggestions, you can email: stephanie@turnthecorner.orgYou can also go to: and ask for further suggestions and also get some information about Lyme Disease.

ILADS is also a great site to find information and learn even more about Lyme Disease and the correct dosages for antibiotics, etc.

For even more info, please read the topic at the top of the first page of this forum tittled, "The Basics, Newbies check this out". It will help you get started learning about lyme.
