I thinking about how numb I get and have gotten and was wondering if others experienced the numbness.
Back in January before I was diagnosed with lyme I had an exprerience where my body went numb.  It was like I was outside of myself, and with the numbness my heart was palpating really fast.  I ended up in the ER and they had to give me something to slow my heart rate down.
Prior to that episode I would get numbness inside my mouth in my cheek, my forehead, tip of my tongue.
After that episode I had several other instances where I went numb and my heart raced.  Also I started to feel numbness on and off in my leg, arms and skin.
I know lyme is different for everyone, but please share your experience with numbness.  I'm just curious if anyone else has had a similar episode like me.

Did your heart race with the numbness before the meds?

I get the same thing. in the afternoons, usually after 4 until i go to sleep, i usualy get weird tingling on my tongue, lips, and occasionally right cheek. i had this before i had treatment. the afternoon also brings on my recurrent fever.

The heart racing is usually anxiety which comes also, along with panic attacks, depression, etc

my ring finger on my left hand went numb about 6 months ago. at first it would last for a day or two then would be fine. this happened for a few weeks.

then it went numb and stayed this way for months. both my PCP and Neuro do not know why or what is causing this. my PCP gave me a script for a B complex med and it helped me somewhat. but it is numb right now to the point i have forgot about it till i need to feel something with it.

i hope this lets up on you soon, and wish you the best.
still looking for answers.

Part of my throat has felt numb for over a year now. I think this is why I have such a hard time swallowing anything...

A part of my stomach, on the right side, right above my belly button went numb a few months ago. It stayed that way for about a week. Now the top of my left foot, on the left outer part is numb. It feels really weird when it happens for sure.

3Whiteroses- Have you had your thyroid checked? Hashimoto's causes fast heartbeat.

My heart didn't start racing until I took Mepron.
