Well, three weeks after a tick bite, I got the following symptoms:

1. fever
2. very stiff neck
3. sore muscles/joints
4. "shooting" electric feelings in my arms/legs
5. muscle twitches

SO, my doc has me on oral Doxy treatment. My question is, should I be on an IV instead?

The stuff online is confusing. I guess I have "Stage 2" Lyme, based on my sypmtoms. Does that mean I require an IV???

Hi looking,

Normally, LLMD's will start a patient off on oral meds first, unless you are having alot of neuro symptoms. So, it looks like you're on the right track.

What is your Doxy dosage again?
