My doctor has prescribed this for me, but he was talking so fast about many things that now I can't remember what it was for, only that it is supposed to help. Anyone else taking this? Could you please give me the scoop. Thanks

I have heard some wonderful things about LDN. I am going to speak with my Dr. on it this Thursday.

Go to this link and read about it:

http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/

Please keep us posted on how you do on it!!

I have been asking my LLMD for this because I have heard very good things about it. I took this info to my LLMD and he never even looked at it. I am seeking a Dr who will prescribe this -- or at least consider it. Tropical, I think you will really like the link that 1bitten gave you.

I've been on LDN for over 3 years now.

The website listed above will tell you everything you need to know. It is very important to go through one of the pharmacies listed on the site because compounding pharmacies not listed often do not give the correct/prescribed dosage or the fillers they use may cause problems.

I do believe LDN is the reason why I have dodged a lot of 'common' things - colds, flu, many allergies are gone, etc.

LDN is an immune system modulator. If your system is under or over active, it will attempt to put it in order. Supposedly (do not quote me please), it stimulates your t cell production by 300%. I can't remember where I got that figure from, but I promise I didn't make it up. I have not gotten a CD 57 test done because I believe the fact that I take LDN would throw my numbers off (by showing that I am healthier than I truly am because of the immune effect). It really kicks your immune system into gear.

Hi Jendays247,

I have heard good things about this med also. I'm happy you think it is working.

Thanks for the tip about using pharm. listed on the site. I didn't know other pharm. might use different ingredients! I need to bring this up again with my doc. I sent him an email with the web address and will have to bring it up again at my next appt.

Best wishes, bablymers mom
