So his test came back IgG Neg, and IgM Neg!! All the bands that were on this test said absent, expect for IgG band 41 that said present. So at this point his doctor said he does not have Lyme. Any thoughts? I thought 41 was Lyme specific, but Iam not sure.

Are these results from Igenex?

band 41 shows up commonly for spirochetal bacteria, not necessarily lyme.

I tested for band 41 only on one of the common labs used (can't remember name now) and was told I didn't have Lyme.

Months later, an LLMD used Igenex and that showed many bands.

Even if results were negative from Igenex, MD should go by symptoms.

These were from Lab corp. I cant afford Igenex right now. I was hoping to get lucky using regular labs. He has not been to a LLMD yet. I guess I can call mine and see what he has to say.

Hi not again.  From what I understand, labs such as Quest and LabCorp do not list all the Lyme specific bands (bands 31 and 34) that IgeneX does.

Does he have symptoms?

Yes I know about the test and the other bands, only cause I have had lyme for 10 years. He has some symptoms on and off but not alot. I had lyme right after he was born. Is band 41 specific?

I believe band 41 is often the first to show in an infection.
