I'm sorry:( I have been wanting so badly to start excercising. However, I know if I even attempted to do what you just did I wouldn't even be able to bear the pain. Of course, I wouldn't make it down my driveway, let alone 2 miles. I hope you feel better soon!

James,

I'm sorry you are feeling bad again. It makes me so upset that we have to go through this. I sure hope you get to feeling better again soon.

How is work?

With this you have to really pace yourself when it comes to exercise. Although you must exercise to get well otherwise the laying around will only further exacerbate symptoms. So it's a balance.

Congrats on experimenting OFF antibiotics! You should check with a good LLMD about the best course next time as far as when to wean yourself -- which should be the goal really if diagnosed in early stages.

Good luck and keep the healing.

btw, DR C moved to my hometown to do work, how great is that? Columbia MO

Hey James,

god to hear from you again. It's awesome that your Dr moved closer. It is too bad you are feeling worse again, but if you are, it is probably a sign you didn't get all the Lyme the first time around. So it's good your back on antibiotics.

Running is pretty much the highest impact type of exercise there is. Maybe you should consider something a little gentler?

yeah, i'm on zithro right now since i have a full bottle left.. i'm thinking about going on doxy after zithro just to see, because really it seems when on doxy my symptoms got worse, but then i felt better...

as far as running, this is the first time i ran since may.. i just missed it so much, i had to do it, it makes me feel better emotionally. i need to join the gym and lift probably, but i hate the gym, i love being outside and being one with mother nature.. i can't explain it... it just feels right

james, sorry you feel sick again. Good thing though that you had the antibiotics to start right back up on. And great that your doctor is closer to you now.
I know what you are talking about when you say you love being outside and being one with nature. I was the same way, I ran 4-5 miles , also loved to garden and sight see, anything outdoors any type of hiking I loved it all.
Now I do none of it. I haven't planted a flower in over a year. This horrible disease robs us of so many things. But one thing is for sure like you and so many others I will keep trying until one day I am able to do all the things I once loved doing. I believe with all my heart one day we will all be back to good health.
I wish you well, please keep us updated.

ria, you were right on the bull's eye (no pun intended) when you said, 'This horrible disease robs us of so many things'. Not only does it rob us of our time, money, sleep, and abilities, WORSE, it robs us of our passions. THAT hurts. Bad.

JAMES: I have forgotten if you were tested for co-infections? If you are/were positive, that could explain much of the pain (mental and physical) you are suffering right now.
