Ok, so either this is really late, or un-necessary, but has anyone heard from Jen lately?

I don't think I've heard from her in over a month. Last I heard, things weren't going great for her. Did I just miss her posts?

Jen- if you're here, how are you doing? Are things going any better?

Nicky

Hey Nicky,

I still talk to her but haven't heard from her in about a week. I'll tell her you're asking about her.

Hi guys...no I haven't been here...I posted on the MS boards a couple of times and they told me you all had posted here wondering about me...thank you. It makes me feel really good.

I'm not on any treatment and had a horrible visit with a neurologist today. If you want to read about that experience just click on my name and look at my recent posts. I feel completely scarred by the way this doctor treated me.

I've been on a vegan, gluten free diet for almost two weeks I think...no change yet but I'm sticking to it. I had to take a full valium today to deal with going to the doctor and then I hung out with my sister and her friends. The fog is almost unbearable and I am now also dealing with a heavy left leg and the muscles in it have atrophied. Both of my legs have gotten weaker since I've been sedentary, but my left leg seems more significant.

Who knows...I hate not having a next step.

Thanks for checking in. I appreciate it.

Oh Jendays,

I'm so sorry... I have been wondering about you as well.  The diet sounds great..  I'm finding out that more and more people (and animals too) are allergic to gluten.  Now why is that?

If a doctor treated me with any negativity, I would never see him again...

You want a next step?  How about trying Dr. Jernigan's protocol?  What do you have to lose?  Try it for 2 months and see how you feel, you may be really surprised and you don't have to see any doctors...   I could give you all the info on that protocol if you want to e-mail me..

Hugs to you,
Denise

Denise,

I have the neuro-antitox (sp?) CNS whatever...I got it over a year ago though...not sure if it's still good.

Hi Jen,

Yes, it's still good because it's preserved in 20% grain alcohol.  If you are worried about the alcohol you could put the droppers in a cup of water, let it sit for 20 minutes or longer and then sip it.  Swish the liquid around your teeth before swallowing, oh darn, that doesn't sound good does it?

Denise,

Are you fully functional now and are you absolutely positive that what you had was lyme?

I have no idea what is wrong with me...and I wonder what illnesses Jernigan products will treat.

Jen

Jen, I'm sorry you had such a terrible appointment. It's terrifying to be sick, but not be able to have Dr.'s tell you what's wrong. Do you no longer feel this is Lyme, or did you stop treatment for another reason? Last I talked to you, you were seeing an LLMD- I'm guessing you stopped? I'm just wondering because I read your post about your Dr,'s appointment on the MS board, and I can say that LLMD's seem to be a lot better about listening to patients, and trying to find explanations- whether Lyme or otherwise. If you no longer think this is Lyme, you could still consider going back to your Dr to get his help on this. I don't know what he/she specializes in, or if you think they'd be any good, but it's worth considering. Even if he can't diagnose you with something, maybe he can suggest other tests, or refer to someone else?

Jen,

I'm sorry you had to go through that awful experience. I agree with Nicky that maybe an LLMD could help you with MS or direct you to a doctor that could help you.

Please keep coming back and letting us know how you're doing.

Hi Jen,

Yes, I tested CDC positive for both lyme and ehrlichiosis after 5 long years of doctor hopping.  I actually diagnosed myself after I did so much research because the doctors kept telling me that I had CFS, or I was depressed, but I knew something was really wrong with me..  I was running fevers, had extreme fatigue, my legs hurt so badly, and so much more.

I got to the point where I was so darn frustrated with doctors that I said to myself "hey, if they can't find out what's wrong with me maybe I can, what do I have to lose?" and the research started.  Everything pointed to lyme disease, all I needed back then was medical proof which I finally got thanks to an ID doctor who sent my blood to IgeneX.   Actually I was relieved to know I had lyme because I finally had a name for what was making me feel so darn sick.

Oh, in answer to your other question, yes, I am fully functional!  From not being able to walk I have my legs back (for years now) and they work great!  I work part-time, I also teach (computer-related), do aerobic exercising as well as the Jane Fonda exercises (for toning and tightening), hike, my hobbies, and looking to move to Vermont as I own a home and it's just getting too expensive to live here and maintain my house all by myself.

As far as Dr. Jernigan, he treats people with numerous illnesses including lyme, MS, Fibro, etc.  He sees people not only in the U.S. but also from Europe as well as people from all over the world.   He has treated newborn babies as well.

If you click on this link you will see he mentions MS as well as Lyme:

I really suggest reading this book, knowledge is power, right?

Hope you are having a better day today,
Denise
