Was reading older posts and noticed you mentioned having heavy periods.
This is a usually a crazy week for me every month, ecspecially with Lyme.
But with my recent trip to the GYN and yes getting scraped is awful, usually
have spotting afterwards.
But the news I got was something I have never heard of, a procedure called
For women with heavy bleeding Endometrial Ablation may be a good treatment
option. especially if you do not plan on having more kids.
It does not involve removal of the uterus and it does not affect hormone levels.
Just something I thought I would share with you, I cant take birthcontrol of any
kind. The shot had so many side effects I hated it. But may consider this outpatient
Sorry I dont have a wedsite link for this, just google it.
Something you may want to talk to your GYN about considering
we are suffering with Lyme and that time of month is true hell for
some of us women.

Hey Harleyrider,

Thanks for thinking of me. I actually researched Endometrial Ablation before I decided to get the Depo Shot. It had a few risks and at the time, I wasn't willing to risk anything. I also needed something to completely stop my cycle so that none of my severe PMS symptoms would come on at all every month. My gyno told me that the ablation may not even stop my cycles at all. That's why I considered the Depo shot. I HATE having to take it but this is all I have right now to relieve my symptoms.

How have you been?
