I just wanted to let you all know that I might be gone for a few days. It's been very hard for me to deal with and I've been crying off and on all day. Everything I do reminds me of him. I feel very lost and sort of out of body at times. When I finally get to sleep, I wake up feeling like he is here but remember that he is actually gone and all my emotions start over again. Im trying to function, but it is hard right now.

Anyway, 1bitten2xshy will be here to help if you all have questions.

CG,
I would like to add my sympathies as well.

Have you ever considered the possibility that maybe you were feeling 'his presence?' I know I felt my Dads' presence. Just a thought.

You & your family will remain in my thoughts & prayers. <3 (that's supposed to be a heart!!)

You will be missed during this time you need to take, but we all understand.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. He must have been a wonderful father, probably where you got such a compassionate nature. Take time to heal.

Oh honey! I am so sorry! I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. I don't know what I would do without my Daddy. You cry as much as you need to! If you need support, you know we are here for you!
I will pray for you and your Daddy and your family. Right now I know it seems as the pain will never end. In a way, it will always be there with you, but it will get easier one day at a time. Just know your Dad is in the best place that he could ever be in right now. And, he is still with you too. He always will be.

Thank you everyone. I'm feeling slightly better today but the nights are hardest for me. Time heals I guess.

CajunGrl,

This is something I have not yet had to endure, and the dread that I feel when I consider it makes me know how profound your grief must be.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies. You and your family are in my prayers at this time of great sorrow.

Thanks everyone. It gets just a tiny bit better each day. The nights are still hard though and I haven't been sleeping. I didn't make it to the wake today, but I'm definitely going to the funeral tomorrow. I've been so weak and didn't think I could push myself two days in a row.

My husband was trying to make me laugh because my dad had this blunt sense of humor. We both said how he would have hated all those flowers that were sent to him, lol. He would have much rathered guns and ammo. He was a veteran and a retired sherriff officer.

Anyway, thanks again for all of the support. You guys are awesome and I'm glad I found this forum.
