Hi there everyone! So, I have done a couple of detox baths and a couple of detox foot soaks. I tell you, those foot soaks are awesome! I seriously feel better within minutes. Amazing! Thank you so much for putting that in the "new to lyme" post! I am sure it is saving me!
However, here is my question. I am realizing now (took long enough) that what i put on my skin, gets absorbed into my body. I have tons of moisturizers, but they are all filled with stuff I can't pronounce. I need to start using something because the cold weather, and these detox baths are really drying my skin out.
Can anyone give me any suggestions of safe, natural moisturizers? Also, money is sort of an issue, so the cheaper the better!
And how bout deodorant? Anyone use anything all natural that actually works? I am always hot, and sweat a lot, so I need something super duper
Thanks in advance smilewinkgrin

Coconut Oil is the best thing for your body. I use this on my toddler also. You can get a generic brand at Vitamin Shoppe. My Chiro says you shouldn't put anything on your skin that you wouldn't put in your mouth, since your body is absorbing it!

If you do get it, note that coconut oil looks like crisco, once your hands touch it , it starts to melt , so although the jar might look small it gives you alot. You can also use it for cooking! I keep a jar in my kitchen and a jar in my bathroom!

I've used it on my psoriasis too and my skin just soaks it right up.

You can google for more info if you'd like...

Hey alone,

I second the coconut oil. It is the most natural ingredient that you can put on your skin. It's good for many, many things and like stated above, you can cook with it too. Here is where I order mine from:

Regarding the underarm deodorant. I use a natural deodorant cream called Lavilin. It's hypo allergenic and lasts a whole week after you apply it. It won't come off when bathing.

You can get it on Amazon:

Thanks girls! I will have to get some of that! I have read in the past about your skin being your largest organ and it soaks up everything, etc...I just chose not to listen.
But, now, I am actually paying attention and don't want chemicals in or ON me!
