Greetings! I'm hoping someone can help me. My 6 year old son was diagnosed with Lyme in September and took 4 weeks of antibiotics. He seemed to do well with this, but a couple weeks after the meds stopped, he began looking tired (with 12 hours of sleep!) and getting headaches again. The pediatrician dismissed my Lyme questions and tested him for anemia...his iron level was really low when they first ran the test for Lyme. Anyway, the new tests came back fine, so I asked the doc to test him for a co-infection. She refused -- not "standard practice." I live in Chester County, PA, where Lyme is just all over the place, and wonder if anyone can recommend someone in southeast PA or in Delaware who might be more flexible. Thank you so much.

Hi Genny, I also live in Chester County and have 2 sons, although they have not been diagnosed with Lyme my new Doc thinks that I most likely have had it since I was young and that I may have passed it on to them. Right now I am just to watch for signs.

I have a great Doc in Kennett Square and I believe he treats children, he has treated his whole family and he himself has had Lyme as well as his receptionist. He is very easy to talk to and i have for the3 first time started having lots of good days.

We can't mention Docs names in the forum so send me an email and I will give you his info.

I live in Chester County and travel to Howell, NJ for treatment. A local woman I spoke to this weekend said she also travels to Englewood, NJ to see a pediatrician who specialized in Lyme. Her 6 year old was diagnosed at age two (no chance of feeling sorry for oneself with this disease!) will give you the name if you e-mail me
