I brought my two girls to get theirs too. Every year at my mother-in-laws house for Christmas, someone has the flu and I just wasn't going to chance getting it. They are all healthy so I don't know why they don't go out and get the flu shot! Grrrrrr!

Anyway, about two hours later, I started feeling a little achey and I had the chills but I wasn't sure if it was the shot or Lyme symptoms. It felt a little different though. I told my husband but he didn't think I would be feeling bad that fast so I blew it off.

Well, my oldest daughter calls and askes me if I feel bad because she is feeling achey too!! I guess it was the shot after all and that's the first time I feel like that. My arm was little sore too BUT I'm better today. I feel like myself again and I'm still glad I got it. I used to get the flu every year and one year it lasted almost two weeks. I was miserable and I could barely get out of bed. I rather have a "mild" touch of the flu than two weeks worth! Blah! I hated those days.

Btw, I'm not saying everyone should run out and get it. This is just my experience with it.

You are brave...no flu shot for me. I figure I should take my chances and hope I escape it.

Waiting to get the flu was more scary to me than getting the shot. I thought about trying natural remedies but i just don't know enough about everything yet and waited too long to order anything. Maybe next year.

Somehow, every year I got a flu shot I got the flu. It's not that I don't get the flu without the shot - I just don't live in the circumstances where I get exposed to things very often - unless I start spending too much time at drs offices.
It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.

My husband has a great immune system but one year, I talked him into getting the flu shot since his relatives always have the flu. He got the flu from the shot just like you. They say that the dead bacteria won't give you the flu but I think it can still give us symptoms since our body is trying to fight it(the flu shot) off.
