It's kind of like when a lightbulb is getting ready to blow. I will get a very quick type of flash every few minutes. I'm really conerned about this especially since  I am starting plaquenil today. It can cause eye damage. Should I go have an eye exam and spend more money?rolleyes
Thanks GG

Good chance that's not a lyme problem - others have that pblem relating to the vitreous fluid in the eyes when they're older. Just get it checked and ask.

Hi Georgiagirl!
Boy, I can relate. When I was first infected, I had horrible vision issues, blindness in one eye and it felt like the lights were really messing with me!! Little did I know it was Lyme messing with me.  I hope you have a good doctor that you can talk to about this.
I want you to go to the doctor but I also want to tell you what happened to me. When I started to lose the vision in my left eye from a "sick tick", I also could NOT look at the sun, lights etc.  If I was walking in the mall, and tried to look up, such as  something on the wall, I could not see it. I was blinded by bright light. It was such a nightmare.  I was 100% sure the eye doctor would see what was wrong and help me. Wrong. He said everything looked fine.  That's where everyone's horror begins. Its knowing something is so wrong and the physican not figuring it out.
There is so much yet to be discovered about the infections of ticks, as they are the root cause to so many huge, horrible health issues in our country.  I know its a pain in the you know what to call the doctor, but call the doctor and tell them. It will give you peace of mind which is so hard to come by when you are battling an infection as big as tick infections.  I hope I helped you.  I try to stay with the subject but I am one of those who always has more to say than I should!!! lol   I lost a very good friend to Lyme Disease last year and I am not over it and will never be over it. She was told she had every disease under the sun except the one that made most sense  -- Lyme Disease.   I hope by the time you read this, some or all of your eye issues have gone away or subsided.
Hugs to you,

I will let my doctor know about this and get her opinion. If it keeps up I will get to an eye doctor. Something tells me that it's the brain pressure causing this.

Maybe some detoxing would help?
It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.

Robin O, did your vision come back after treatment? I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. That's horrible. Your feeling much better these days aren't you? I hope so.
