Candidly, I'm not sure what all they're testing for with the blood they took. If testing magnesium is typically a blood test then maybe. We have a follow-up in six weeks and many or most of the test results should be in by then and I will know for sure.
It seemed like the magnesium supplement and the Epsom salt baths were being strongly encouraged in order to support magnesium levels - perhaps on the assumption it is likely low or that a little more wouldn't hurt anyway.
Maybe she should start taking the magnesium glycinate daily. I should probably ask the question via email with the LLMD's nurse.
