I received this from a very dear friend of mine. Although I have not listened to this as of yet (recovering from oral surgery still), I'm sure it contains some very useful information!!

Discussion about Lyme disease between UNDER OUR SKIN Director Andy Abrahams Wilson and Win Bertrand, MD of Gordon Medical Associates

followed by a question and answer session. Podcast from October 18th special event at Commonweal in Bolinas, CA.

Sorry I can't give you the direct link to click on, but as soon as you execute the following steps, the audio file is launched. Goto: http://www.commonweal.org/new-school/event_archives.html

Scroll down your screen until arriving at Oct 18 - "It's about Lyme" and click on "download the audio file" directly beneath the title.

Around minute 25, a great discussion about why it's wrong for docs to say that antibiotics are just having an "anti-inflammatory" effect.

At minute 28, Andy talks about how Wormser challenged him to get tested by Igenex because Wormser had/has a notion that everyone tests positive at Igenex; Andy didn't.

Around minute 32 they begin talking about FM/CFS and their inclusion in a category known as "contested diseases."

Autism spectrum is mentioned around minute 38.

CFS/XMRV as well as Epstein Barr, cytomegalovirus at minute 41.

Q&A starts at minute 48, including anecdotes about animals/pets w/Lyme.

Somewhere around 1:1 (or 1:10, I can't tell) they talk about the blood supply as it pertains to Lyme and coinfections, and around 1:20 about the CD57 test and then the insurance industry.

Oh, and earlier in the podcast, it's mentioned that Alan MacDonald is no longer able to work on his research around Lyme/Alzheimer's and biofilm due to his own illness - Dr. Eva Sapi had been working w/him and will continue the research (nothing new to report at this time).
It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.

Thanks for this Traveler, It is always interesting to hear the questions from an audience after a UOS showing.
