Very Interesting. I looked up LD and dogs. It was  amazing the amount of information and DEFINITIVE answers concerning LD and dogs. it says that even though the dog is treated, most likely the bacteria will never be fully eradicated! Talks about how the bacteria actually hide and lie dormant. Some sites even talk about longer term abx.  WOW.

That's interesting! We'd probably get treated better if we were dogs.

So true. My golden retriever had LD and they thought that one month of antibiotics would do the trick. You know how that is, poor guy suffered the last several years of his life and the vet said he had arthritis. When I got LD, then I learned the truth of it all. I must say though, that they seem to have no trouble diagnosing it in animals with the blood test. I was always curious if they made more antibodies to it than us humans do.  D

Dowa,

So sorry about your dog, I miss my doggies (they didn't have lyme, they had other medical problems not related).

But if we were dogs, we would get petted and our tails would wag!!
