I was wondering if Lyme Coinfections can show negative on a blood test like Lyme, but you still have them? I have always shown positive for Lyme... even after treatment, but showed negative for co infections 1st time around. I get the results today for my 2nd rounds of bloodwork.

Saw my LLMD today, apparently I have Q fever. He said it's a close friend of Rocky Mt Spotted Fever. And I'm still testing positive for Lyme, my Vitamin D is still low and my Thyroid is not up to par. So adding yet another med to the list.

On a happier note, I just looove my LLMD. I think he's genius. :)

Jenn - Congratulations on having a wonderful LLMD; it makes all the difference. I've never heard of Q fever, but I was told my chest pain and air hunger are from babesia. I hope your new medication makes a big difference in how you are feeling.

I guess since I have tested neg for Babesia than my symptoms are coming from the Q fever? Who knows! What is air hunger?

Air hunger is when you don't feel like you're getting enough air. You can be breathing normally, but it feels like you've been holding your breath. Hyperventelating does not alleviate it. I have heard that you can test negative for babesia even when you have it. I don't know if that information is reliable. The test I had, called a FISH test, looked for babesia RNA in my blood cells. My test was positive, but maybe if they draw a sample where none of the particular cells drawn are invaded, it would show negative. What does your LLMD think? I have a friend who tested negative but had so many babesia symptoms that her LLMD treated her for it until the symptoms resolved. I hope you are feeling better by now.
