Hi there LymeGal,

Did you mean Allicin in garlic? That is used to help kill off Lyme bacteria. I'm still not sure how strong it is yet as I have just started taking it.

That might be in it but I think the name is Allimed (maybe spelling is off?) I know of someone taking this instead of antibiotics and I was wondering if this is working for anyone. Starting my 5th year of antibiotics and I am sick of them but afraid to go off of them.....?

I've never heard of Allimed but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. Try doing some research on it and see what comes up. Garlic is supposed to be good for a lot of things.

Allimed is probably the brand name. The one I use is called Kyolic garlic and it has allicin in it.

If what you are talking about is garlic- i have much experience with it- perhaps it has helped me a little with lyme among other things (it is a known killer of over 100 different pathogens) but i do caution using excessive amounts EFFECTIVELY lowers blood pressure- which isn't a problem so long as your blood pressure isn't already very low. I was using the extract by Kyloic but had to ease up due to my blood pressure dropping (keep in mind this was not from the garlic alone- i was doing several things that could have contributed to it- xanax included.)

Was it a 100 or 1000 pathogens?? gee i can't remember but it is some very GOOD stuff used correctly. good for your heart, antiparasitic, antiviral, anti FUNK in general... lol.

I refuse to stay sick! Period.
