Ok, this is probably the least of anyone's problems, but I'm going to post about
it anyway.
Before I started taking antibiotics, I never had acne...about
4 months into treatment BAM. My face blew up - nodular cysts, regular pimples, blackheads, everything. Also my shoulders and back were horrible too. I hated it. I was trying everything to fix it...and nothing worked.
But I have finally found something that works!!! Nizoral. It's an antidandruff shampoo with the active ingredient ketoconazole. There is a 1% and a 2% formula, but the 1% is what I have used. (You can only get the 2% w/ a prescript
ion.) I buy it at walmart for about
$15 for the large bottle. Anyway, thought I would post it here in case other people were having the same problem. I have no more acne at all...it did take about
1 month to get completely clear since I had so much, but I could definitely tell it was stopping any new pimples after the first week.
Also, just a tip, I still wash my face w/ my normal cleanser which is Proactiv, and then I put the Nizoral on my face and let it sit about
5 minutes before washing it off, I do this with my body as well. I also suggest using a moisturizer afterward so your face doesn't get too dried out.
It's amazing my face is no longer sand paper, yea!
