I am going for my first shot tomorrow morning. I am running about 100 fever today. Could be because I am herxing from the high dose of oral penicillin I am on. I have been on these peals for a week and a half with no problem. Just some increased pain.

My daughter has a virus. Sore throat, etc. My throat hurts too. Would you still go to the doc for the shot? It is an allergist so I guess I can go and ask them when I get there. Always a question when the LLMDs office is closed.

Help, anyone?

Lovelabs,

Sorry to reply so late. I'm no doctor, and of course, ask your doctor first but I don't think a shot of antibiotics could harm you while you are running fever. I run fever myself when I'm on treatment and it's usually around 99.9-100. You could be herxing because I get the sore throat too, or it may be that yucky cold going around. I had to take antibiotics to get rid of the infection it caused so antibiotics may just help you.

Feel better soon.

Thanks so much. I think it was a herx. Fever was gone today. Had my shot. All I can say is OH MY GOSH! Very painful stuff.

Im glad everything went okay and you are feeling better. You may want to start logging your symptoms and see if they display a pattern every month. I usually have one bad week every month around the 12-20. I never knew this until I started writting all of my symptoms down.
