i'm not looking forward due to ticks! other than that its my favorite time of the year.. i'm going to have my lawn sprayed this spring for ticks, hopefully this helps.. this is really the first spring i am aware of the dangers of ticks.. all it took was one time for me to get sick. we have had alot of rain this past year and this year so far...i wonder how bad the ticks are going to be here in the midwest?

Gardening was my absolute favorite activity until I got lyme. It has really taken the joy out of it for me. I just don't get as much enjoyment covered from head to toe. I wondering if spraying would help. But then isn't there the danger of the chemicals of the sprays? Ugh. My poor flowers. I've abandoned them!

Spring time is still my favorite time - even with the bugs of the midwest!!! We use granules (by Bayer, I think - it's in a red bag anyway!!) and that seems to be pretty effective, even on the chiggers!!!!

I just can't seem to cut back on my spring time activities, as they are what keep me going from year to year! I am careful about doing my tick-checks now, even asking hubby to check the back of my neck/head.

This insidious disease has taken so much from me over the years, I won't let it scare me out of doing the few things that I can still do!!
It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.
