The thyroid also needs iodine and selenium to function correctly, so make sure these minerals are included in her daily diet/supplement routine.
Biotin, zinc, antifungal tannins, caprylic acid, garlic, grapefruit seed extract, oregano & thyme, probiotics, etc. are also all good for fungal infections.
And applying oregano oil (dilute 50:50 in veg. oil - coconut oil would be great cuz then you get the caprylic acid too) to the feet a couple times a day may also help get rid of the toenail fungus.
My brother was told to never wear the same shoes two days in a row to give the shoes time to air out. This reduces bacteria, fungus, etc. growing in the shoes. Also frequent foot washing is a good idea.
