Hi All, I test postive for these infections as well as Lyme's and I hope I saying this all right, because I'm still confused about the infection and its co infection. Yesterday my LLMD said I didn't did have any co infections that showed up on my test. He gave me a vitamin B shot and that helped alot with my tiredness. I stopped these for awhile, I was afraid to do both shots.

I was telling him my gut isn't any better that I can tell, (I have Ulcertive Colitis) but it's not any worse. I have TWO COLDS since being on the antibiotics, what does this mean do you think? My doc was surprised to hear it.

These Bicillin shots are way easier on me than the orals. He said give it a couple more shots and see how I do. He said if I don't improve then well try zithormax for the chylmadia bacteria and then possible IV.

I think first I need to get my yeast problem under control, that's probably a lot of my problem. I'm on liquid Nystantin and Diflucan pills as well, hopefully we can iradicate the yeast!

Well what do you make of all this?

Thanks,
Linda

Very mild left sided (could have fooled me with the "mild")  UC.Just found out 4 years into it I might have Lyme's Disease, going to a LLMD in December. Confirmed Lymes on 12/8/09 before my new antibiotic protocal from my LLMD, I  Started and stopped LDN ON 1/25/09 to mid May no improvements. Tried Asacol, Pentesa, Colozol, Sulfasulsadine and Lialda, they made me worse. A range of antibiotics, not much better. Supplements: Threelac, multi, iron, very low yeast/sugar/wheat  No UC meds at this time. Started Doxy and Cedfinir too rough on stomach, started Bicillin injection 1/12/10, once a week of injections. Feel much more energy on shot.

I can't help with the Babs.  Fortunately I don't have it.

I assume you have a chlamydia pneumonia infection (Cpn).  Most people know this as "walking pneumonia".  If it's in the acute stage, it's usually pretty easy to clear up.  A good portion of the adult population has had it at one time or another.  Were your IgM's positive?

If Cpn gets entrenched - it moves out of the lungs and goes deep- tissue.  I think usually your IgA's will be positive if you have this.

Cpn is a "bad actor" in all kinds of things - MS, chronic fatigue, fibro - it's been recovered in plaques from hardening of the arteries.  It's not known if it's a cause or just a contributor to many of these things.

It's hard to get rid of if it's chronic.  Like Lyme, it has 3 life forms - a spore form, and form where it sheds its cell wall to  hide inside your cells from antibiotics or you immune system, and a cyst form.

There are a number of treatment protocols for this.  They are long term combined antibiotic therapies.  The bactera are much diff. than Lyme and so a TB type antibiotic (like rifampin) may be used.  Flagyl is a typical cyst buster for Cpn.

If you have fatigue, exercise intolerance, low energy, brain fog and similar things - you'll also have to get the Cpn infection cleared up too to feel well.  I can give you some links if you want more info.

Hi Rich,

My doc is calling me in zithromax and I'm also on the Bicillin shots. This will help I hope, right?

Thanks for your advise and help.
