Hi everyone, i hope you are all well
I am posting about my sister with lyme and three other tick born illnesses. we noticed today that her bartonella rash has gotten really bad, it seems like almost over night. its on her side, the back of her knees, her inner thighs and in her groin area. we took some pictures and it looks awful. the rash is really red and ugly looking. she also says that it hurts, her side looks almost swollen. she says she has also had alot of headaches lately and pain in her feet and hands. we arent really sure what to do. her doctor is really far and the pediatrician that she sees here in town wouldnt know what to do with her
does any one have any suggestions, or even know of any remedies that might ease some of her worst symptoms?
i appreciate any help that you can give me
thank you

Sorry to hear that your sister is not feeling well. I was just reading about Lyme coinfections at this link:

It sounds like you are going to need some meds to get relief.

Best Wishes!

Is your sister being treated by a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD)? If so, I suggest she call her LLMD and get some advice from him/her over the phone until she's able to go see him/her. What antibiotics is she taking now?

She definitely needs to see a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor like GWD mentioned above. Levaquin and Rifampin are the two antibiotics used to treat Bartonella. I feel for her because I have Bart too and know what she goes through. I don't have the rashes bad like her though, but I do have the hand/feet pain, headaches and used to have rage/anger problems as well. I wonder if cocco butter would help? Maybe soften the area a little.
