Thanks Ria! Look in your mailbox, I wrote you.

Hunter,

I was first bitten in 1984 had fatigue and arthritis and mood swings and rib pain. Doctor said I was bored! In 1991 and 1992 I had two weeks of tetracycline as the fatigue, falling down, neck weakness was causing problems at work. I didn't test positive. Over the years my symptoms got worse and then would disappear without rhyme or reason. I never put it all together. Nor did any of the doctors who treated each of my symptoms separately (Endometriosis, back pain, GI pain, depression, heart anomalies (and the hundred other things I just thought you had to live with) In 2007 I was bitten again but didn't get tested for another six months. By that time I was nearly out of my mind and I was having terrible trouble working through the joint pain, fatigue, or mental problems. I tested positive for Lyme. I began treatment and when I didn't get much better after one month of doxycycline and one of zithromax, I was referred to an llmd. His Igenex test revealed the co-infection of Ehrlichiosis. It's been a difficult two years with progress madeand then falling back. It was a very gradual and erratic improvement. My llmd used a lot of different combinations of abx. The symptoms got worse before they were better, particularly the neurological ones. I still have the stiff clicky neck and tender hands and feet, which I hope will go away soon. My energy level is great and my mind is clear. I am still taking a lot of supplements many of which I found out about on this forum -- and never under estimate the importance of detoxing!

Wow! That's so exciting! Especially since you've had it since the 80's. It gives me hope. I have faith that the neck and hand problems will resolve as well- you just need to give your body a chance to recuperate.

Thanks for your good wishes, everyone. It means a lot.

Deejavu,
I am taking a Multi-vitamin, Magnesium, CoQ10, B complex, B12, Cell Food and Aloe Vera Juice. In addition I am taking colloidal silver for two weeks and then alternate that with Samento (cats claw) for two weeks. Have no idea what I'm doing, but it seems to be working.
