just wondering how many of you drink coffee regularly?

I am fine when i am well but now sypmtoms returning for longer than flare and i just barely can stand coffee anymore.  i have only about a cup now to avoid withdrawal from it.

It doesn't do any thing like stomach upset, but it seems to contribute to the unwell sense.  like my body is saying NOOOOO don't drink it -for some reason.

Can't explain better than that and that probably sounds goofy!

Not goofy at all...caffeine can be hard on the body...

I can't handle any caffeine...from soda, coffee (well, I can't stand the taste of coffe, but love the smell...), tea, chocolate, or anywhere else. My stomach hates even the tiniest speck of caffeine.

I didn't drink it much at all after first being diagnosed last summer. I do now, about a cup per day. I really enjoy it, but sometimes it makes me too acidic.

Same here.... I stopped drinking coffee for about four months beginning last summer when I first became ill. I now have one cup per day even though it almost immediately intensifies my numbness and radiating lower back pain. I just started high dose antibiotics again a little over a week ago and feared that I would have to give up coffee again but, so far my stomach seems to be doing okay. That one cup a day seems to kick start my brain which has not been functioning very well since getting sick with LD.

French Roast..... Ahhhh

I am a tea drinker but had to come off caffeine due to my nerve issues. It aggrevates the nervous system.
So I'm off caffeine for now. Tried Green tea the other day and it was ok. Mostly herbal teas are ok for me.

I'm with Deejavu on this one!!! I would die (tee hee) without my coffee!!!!! Although I do have to limit myself on how much I can drink.
