My eye is still burning and blurry for months now and I am getting very worried.  Should I get to a neuro-optho or wait till I see new LLMD in 2 wks.  Neuro, regular eye dr.  and infect. dis. dr. all say neuro lyme but ins. co. refusing IV.  I have filed my appeal but don't want to go blind waiting.  But I don't want to waste my time at a neuro-opth if they don't know lyme either.  This is brutal.

I had eye pain in my right eye last summer with the burning, tearing and blurred vision. My opthomologist said it was Lyme related iritis and prescribed Amoxicillian and steroid eye drops. It cleared up within a week once I started the treatment.

I recommend that you see an Opthomologist right away.

Thanks.  I have been to an eye dr.  She did not see anything wrong with the eye but sent me for a visual field because of the lyme which I failed.  From there, went to neuro, then for mri and have found lesions consistent with neuro-lyme.  When I went to the eye dr. I was not getting pain though, just blurriness.  Perhaps now if I go back to regular eye dr, there is some type of inflammation but wonder if it is the neuro causing the problem.  Ugh.

I agree with others who suggested you see an eye doctor. Your eyes are nothing to mess around with. Be nice if you could see a lyme literate eye doctor, but the chances of finding one is probably slim to none.

Praying all goes well with you and you and you get this issue resolved soon!
