Hi, I emailed nutramix for docs that do the cowden protocal. The closest one to me is a Naturopath in Flower Mound, TX. Before flying out to see him, I really would love some feedback if anyone has been to him or has heard any feedbackabout him, or any other doctor who uses the cowden protocal, for that matter. I can not take anti-biodics.  Thank you all and be well,  Jan

I have no information on this naturopath doctor, but you might be able to get some information from the DFW Lyme Support Group about him:

DfW Lyme Disease Support Group‎
7140 Hightower Drive, N Richland Hills, TX 76182-3344
(817) 428-6852‎

Call the support group leader and see if there's anyone who can give you some information on this doctor. That's about the best I can offer you.

If you email me his name I can look do some research and see if anything comes up on him. Just click the email icon to the left.

What made you decide to go on the Cowden protocol if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Gary, Thank you for getting back to me. I emailed the two leaders of the DEW support group and heard back from one of them, he said one of his friends swears by the doc. , and I asked if there was any way I could email his friend and ask him about his experience with him.But he never got back to me. I can not take anti biodics and a have been searching for a really good naturopath who is lyme literate and can treat me with out anti biodic. My reason for wanting to go on the cowden protocal is that the new condensed version is alot less meds to take and has seemed to be very successful. Dr. H in New york used it on his patients with great success. The name of the naturopath that I made the appointment with is Dr. S, ND, Flower Mound, TX. I would just like some feed back on people who have been to him before I fly out. I was thinking about going to the Hansa center...I think you went there. But, I can't leave for 2 weeks, it's terribly expensive, and I didn't see any proof that they eradicated the Lyme disease in patients that went there. Some people get better, some don't, and that's alot of time and money to spend if it doesn't work. Also, I really don't want to go with out my husband and he can't take off of work for 2 weeks. So...if you have any suggestions to help me it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and be well, Jan

Jan, Dr. S saved my life. I went from being bed ridden to doing everything that a stay at home mom does with two small children. My kids went from having a mom who spent all her time on the couch to a mom who does everything. I don't even need naps any longer! I still see him on a regular basis. The staff is wonderful and compassionate. I'm grateful for all they have done for me.

Be blessed!

HI CTLyme,
Welcome to the forum!! I am really sorry that you have a need to be here, but am sure glad that you found us! I'm sure you will find us to be a caring, helpful and understanding group!!

If you haven't already, it would be beneficial for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of relevant information and informative links that have been put together by our members here! We also have a pretty good search function on this forum to help you narrow down your search for information from past posts.

Keestee hasn't been around since that post was made back in 2010. You should start another thread and ask your question there, that way people will see that we have a new member asking questions - you're more likely to get a response that way.

I had to edit your post, as we don't like to use any Lyme Literate docs full names on the board. The ones that are out in the public eye quite a bit (like Dr. Jernigan, or Burrascano) are different, they put themselves 'out in the open' so to speak. I missed the other posts where this doc was mentioned, but will take care of that once I finish my response to you.

Are you sure that you can't find a doc closer to you? That way you wouldn't have to be separated from your little one. A lot of Lyme Literate docs will work with another doc who is willing to administer the meds, maybe you should ask around there in NY to see if you can find a doc that would be willing to do that first?

If you need help in finding a Lyme Literate Doc near you, we do have some help to offer - although none are Naturopaths. Let me know if you would still like to see the links you can go to for help to find a doc.

I break up my post because my eyes have been effected by TBI's as well, which makes long paragraphs very hard to read.

keestee, CTLyme, and Idesign50, can you all share your experience with the Flower Mound doctor? I am going to be seeing him soon to start Dr. Cowden's protocol. I am looking for more information on it all before I see this doctor. I would love to hear of other people's experience with him and how well the Codwen protocol works. Thank you!:)
