Most of you know I recently went through a miscarriage and have had a relapse of symptoms since it happened 2 weeks ago. It has been a very long time since I have felt this bad and I honestly don't remember feeling this dizzy before. I am contemplating going to the emergency room, but I normally don't because I know if it is lyme there isn't much they can do.
I have been drinking lots of fluids, making sure I eat, but nothing is helping the dizziness. I thought I would be feeling better by now (it happened 2 1/2 weeks ago), because normally when I  have a few bad days, they pass and then I feel ok again. This doesn't seem to be passing and it making me very nervous.
I have been through hell with this illness and back and completely 100% better but it was a long time ago so I have forgotten exactly what it feels like to feel this way again. I guess I always second guess is it really the lyme making me feel this sick or is something else going on now? I know my hormones are all over the place which can aggrivate lyme, but I just don't remember this feeling so it feels all new again to me.
Has anyone else here been really dizzy for days at a time? I mean I can barely stand up dizzy and can't think straight dizzy.

YES!! In the beginning I was extremely dizzy - even just sitting still. It was two different kinds of dizziness for me - vertigo and motion. I was very scared because at the time I had no idea what was causing it and my doctor just told me to take motionsickness pills - which only put me to sleep and didn't take the dizziness away. It took probably 6 months to get better, and now it comes and goes.

I remember being dizzy before off and on, but it is the fact that it has been days now and doesn't seem to be getting better which is what makes me worry and wonder. This is dizzy sitting still too. I get dizzy spells before a migraine hits, but this is like room spinning dizzy. I just want it to go away already so I can feel like myself again.

Wonder if it is worth a trip to the hospital.

Hi Jeminij,
I have gotten dizzy during my days of perimenopause especially right before I would get my period so I knew my hormones were all over the place.
Your body has been through so much lately that perhaps it needs time to recuperate.  Losing a baby is not only emotionally upsetting but physically upsetting as well..    Your body is probably very confused right now and needs time to adjust.
I really feel for you and hope you feel better,

This song is about my years with chronic lyme since 1995 and being in remission for over 4 years:

Feeling a little better today. I think it is my hormones too trying to figure out what to do now. I have heard it can take up to 6 weeks for them to return to normal so I am trying to give myself time to get back on track. It's only been 2 1/2 weeks, but a long couple of weeks so it feels like much longer. I have a big birthday coming up next weekend so hoping I feel much better by then. Another week to rest and recover still.

Yeah i am so dizzy this week again after 10 years of this crap you think i would stay on the abx but i took a 3 month drug holiday and now dizziness is back. In the beginning i would get so dizzy i would sit by the toilet for hours throwing up til i turned blue, ER people yelled at me and said this is not Lyme but after test they couldn't tell what it was. They are so lame when it comes to lyme they are clueless what this disease really does to us, don't know any remedies for dizzy except laying down and laying low as not to bring it on.

My MIL has Meniere's and she finds avoiding artificial sweeteners, preservatives and other synthetic additives in foods reduces her symptoms significantly. She also eats low-sodium and tries to avoid too much regular sugar too (sugar can cause water retention, which can make vertigo worse).
Chronic Lyme Disease, Bartonella (clinical dx only), Gluten & Sulfite Sensitivity, Many Food/Inhalant/Medication/Chemical Allergies & Intolerances, Asthma, Gut issues (dysmotility, non-specific inflammation), UCTD ("Secondary Lupus-Like Syndrome"), Osteoporosis, etc.; G-Tube; TPN via PICC (trying again to wean off the TPN).
Meds:  IV Cipro, Heparin (to flush PICC line), Singulair, Claritin, Domperidone, Colloidal Silver, probiotics, digestive enzymes, Milk Thistle, Magnesium, homeopathy.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but maybe you should let your doctor know. I'm not sure they can do anything, but since your miscarriage, have it checked out to be safe. I probably wouldn't go to the emergency room.
I go through periods of dizziness - once it was diagnosed as a severe sinus infection. I also get vertigo.
I hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
