I had full spinal xrays done by a chiropractor because of my back and neck pain and came to learn that my scoliosis (actually, rotoscoliosis, as it twists and rotates as well as curves: I have 2 pronounced curves) is severe.
The chiro had a consultation w/ an ortho radiologist, who noted that I have what 'appears' to be a granuloma at my 7th and 8th rib.  I am very concerned about this, esp since he recommends a CAT scan and the chiro never mentioned this to me. (I found it when I requested a copy of my report)
I see that a granuloma can be a collection of immune cells that have attempted to fight an infection.
Has anyone experienced such a thing or know about these things?
It is obvious that I need to see a Dr besides a chiro! My long awaited appt w/ an IDD who is and LLMD is June 29! I don't know if I should wait until I see him or get into some other kind of specialst before then.
The report on my xrays is horrendous!

This could be from Lyme or something else. I'd recommend getting it checked out sooner than the 29th if you can - one suggestion is to maybe call the LLMD with whom you have the appointment and ask who they recommend you see about this granuloma...

Good luck - I hope it is something benign and clears up on its own. Take care,
