Hi all,

Well my son has been on 2 grams iv Rocephin for 6 weeks now and maybe...maybe alittle improvement. He is conversing alittle more (still doesn't make sense though) and very confused still but he does seem to be developing some weird habits. He washes his hands ALOT and cleans the bathroom alot too. It could be worse :)

Caldonia Son:
My son is also having trouble sleeping. He seems to fall asleep but wakes up in the middle of the night and stays up. I was thinking of giving him Melatonin, suggested by the pharmcists. Was wondering if you or anyone has tried this.

I do take 5 mg. of melatonin, but also ambien. Insomnia is really a problem for me.

I'm glad to hear that your son is improving. Hopefully, you will continue to see progress.

I have used melatonin for a couple of years now to help me sleep. I take 6 mg every night, along with an anti-depressant that causes drowsiness.
It's been said:LD patients can be as ill as people w/ congest. heart failure & in as much pain as post-op patients.

A doctor told me to take melatonin for my sleep problems, but I never did. I don't remember why. I know someone who took it who had the side effect of having very strange dreams. I'm not sure if that's common.
