Scurf Rim came up in another thread and I believe CajunGrl said she has heard of this before.
Well, this is what I have come up with:
If one is overloaded with toxins, the ring around the colored part of the eye is thicker.
This is an interesting article that states this:
"The problem in Western culture of improper skin care can be validated through iridology, the study of the iris of the eyes. If you look into a friend or family member’s eyes, you will notice what iridologists refer to as a "scurf rim"—a dark black outline surrounding the perimeter of the iris. The thicker and darker the scurf rim is, the more congested your skin is. Dr. Jensen has witnessed the scurf rim virtually disappear in patients who incorporated daily skin brushing along with organic foods and a healthy lifestyle."
Below is a youtube video about this as well:
Anyone else find any interesting articles?

Me, too, glad you posted that. I haven't found any interesting articles, but last week I was on Dr. J's (KS) website and he was being interviewed, I caught just a part of the radio broadcast...

It was a perfect part because it really hit home with me.

Wish I could remember exactly what he said but this is what I went away with. A person can be so toxic, and their body so sensitive, that almost everything is perceived as over the top (that is a VERY loose translation of what he said).

He went on to share about light bothering the eyes. Well, that was very interesting to me because I do notice that light bothers my eyes, some days worse than other days. One day last week I put my sunglasses on in the house. Then yesterday at a restaurant I wore them while we ate. And that wasn't the first time I've done that in the past few weeks.

I have dark brown eyes and was surprised, WOW, I can see that Scurf Rim even in my eyes. I've got one.

Yikes, I'm a toxic waste dump.

I'm so glad I'm getting the help I need to detox. That (and the protocol I'm on) and God has to be the reason I am doing so well.

I'm going to keep an eye (no pun intended, heee heee) on that Scurf Rim and watch it disappear.

I did some research on scurf ring today as well. I read that the ring can also become thick due to dehydration. So, keep that in mind also... Take care  D

Bump for an old thread that has very interesting information!
You can actually measure how toxic you are by looking at your eyes...
Symptom-free for 6 years ~ used Dr. Jernigan's protocol.

Our bodies are wise as they can heal themselves, all one has to do is nourish them properly. Thus it's all about the Immune System mixed with Daily Detoxing and a dose of Positive Thinking!

What I am gathering from this is that we should not use creams or deodorant as these can clog the pores.  I don't think I can go without these products as my skin is quite dry and I do get a slight odor under my armpits if I don't use deodorant.  What do you guys do?
