My doctor prescribed flagyl 500mg 2 times a day and told me to alternate days with the zithromax. Zithromax one day, flagyl the next. Has anyone taken this drug, and if so was it tolerable. The zithromax gives me bad stomach cramps and loose stools when taken orally, wondering if flagyl does the same or has minimal side effects.

My CD 57 was 23 2 months into treatment it is 48. Dr still says the infection is active.

Anyone also have any good reports of using rife machines?

Thanks, Liz

I've taken both Zithromax and Flagyl. Flagyl was probably the most nauseating drug of all of the ones I took, but everyone is different. It did cause me to herx, so it seemed to be doing some good, but I couldn't tolerating the vomiting. There's no way to know how you'll react until you try it. I don't recall what dose I was taking, but it was a pulsing schedule, so the dose was probably high.

I took flagyl as the last abx in a two year treatment. It was very hard on the stomach, I took a lot of probiotic and used essential enzymes to help digestion. My herx reaction was quite strong from it, and it left me on the very good side of well. Hope it works well for you.
