HELP!!!! Tried a tens unit and now I am having SERIOUS pain

Please give me some feedback here...I tried a tens unit last night for 20 mins.  Today I have been more pain than in the last month.  I'm having almost a full on herx I think.
Has anyone ever had this?
I was back to feeling great since 7/13/10.  Now I feel like crap.
Anne.................the one that gets better for a few yrs, relapses, gets retreated successfully and uses a friggen TENS unit for MAYBE 20 mins and now I have all my symptoms back plus 5 more.  mad

Infected in 1988.  DX w/Lyme, HGE, Bartonella 2007.   Successfully treated 2007-2008 w/Vanco, Flagyl, and many other things....etc, herniated L5/S1, Relapse 3/2010-Currently on Vanco/Flagyl for 2-4 weeks with this first relapse, Hydromporphone/Percocet for pain, Soma, Clonazepam

Had you ever used a TENS unit before this?
If not, then 20 min. is way too long. Should start with maybe 5 minutes and work your way up. Yes, it probably did stir up a herx or some kind of "healing crisis." Perhaps a hot bath with baking soda or epsom salts would help?

Sorry you are in so much pain and having trouble with relapses... I hope you feel better soon,

It may work like a very very mild rife machine and you may have killed some of the lyme bacteria. However, the tens unit uses a high frequency where lyme uses a low frequency. Just a thought!
