I was wondering if anyone had any ways to get more energy. I'm to tired to do anything. I feel physically and mentally exhausted. I get at least 8 hours a night. Lately I have been waking up in the middle of the night again.

First of all, i would like to say that I - for one - MUST have at least 9 hrs, preferably 10 hours of sleep each night.

I would suggest that first you try to get a better quality of sleep. If you are waking in the middle of the night, you're not getting good, quality rest. Melatonin is something that can be added to most any routine, I believe. I have to take 10 mgs every night, but it's also not very expensive. I also drink "Sleepy Time" tea every night. Chamomile tea is known to improve a person's ability to get to sleep & rest better.

There are prescriptions available like Provigil, but I would stick to the natural stuff as much as possible.

Naps are good, too. Even if you can't sleep, just lying down for a little while can do a great deal. You really need to let your body heal. I found that going for a gentle stroll has helped my sleep patterns (not a major hike that would exhaust and strain you more) and even 15 minutes of yoga can help a lot with sleep, detoxing and general well being.

I've been drinking a natural energy drink for about two years now and it helps. It's called Spark Energy Drink by Advocare. I first started drinking it when I worked for a chiropractor. It's rather expensive if you buy the canister, but the packets are reasonable. It doesn't give me a burst of energy or anything like that. It just picks me up a little so that I can start my morning. It has vitamins in it. I still think that some days I need something more though like a prescription because I feel like I cannot stay awake. I am thinking about talking to my doctor aobout provigil next time I see him. Good luck with whatever you try.

By the way, getting a good nights sleep, like stated above, is so very important so that you can feel better in the morning. Alot of us though, do not get a full rested sleep at night a suffer all day long with fatigue.

Adreset works good for me. It's designed for adrenal or stress related fatigue. And its all natural too!
