Hi All

I have an appointment in a few weeks where I shall be getting tested for Lymes plus the co-infections, I have been sent a list by the clinic of all the tests available which I can have done, the list is as follows:-

Investigations for Lyme:

Lyme Disease IgM Western Blot (IGX-188)
Lyme Disease IgG Western Blot (IGX-189)
Lyme Disease IgG/IgM Serology (IGX-183)

co infections
Babesia microti - IgG/IgM Antibody (IGX-200)
Bartonella henselae IgG/IgM Abs (IGX-285)
Human Granulocytic Ehrlichia IgG/IgM-IGX-206
Human Monocytic Ehrlichia IgG/IgM (IGX-203)

MEL-4 MELISA Borr & Wrn Blot Lyme Borr
MEL-20 = Co-infect(babesia/Bart/Ehrlichia)

IS-2017 = Immunoserology Of Lyme Panel A 1
IS-2016 = b. Burgdorferi IgG, IgM by Western Blot

Being quite new to all of this, I have no idea as to which test would be the best one to start off with, or would it be recommended to have them all (though this would be extremely expensive) though I am willing to pay any price through desperation!!! Im just extremely concerned about getting them all done only to receive negative results!

Also can anyone tell me what the two bottom tests are, have never heard of these!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

My opinion: At the very least, I'd suggest getting the first two on the list - the Lyme IgM 188 & Lyme IgG 189, and discuss reasons for doing additional tests with the doctor.
