I feel like this disease is taking over my entire life yet I still feel like I have accomplished nothing.  There are several of you who seem to have this daily living & detoxing stuff down to a science and I would like to know how you do it.  Is anybody willing to give me some idea how you schedule daily and weekly detoxing and what you do?  I think this would be interesting to the newer members as well.  For instance, I try to juice at least 4 days a week, try to do a soak bath or foot bath 3 times a week, use the sauna at least once or twice, etc. etc.  I usually find I've run out of energy and time before I'm satisfied I've done enough.  Also, does anybody have any experience with a rebounder?  My neighbor has given me one.  Notice I didn't even cover supplements and eating, although I'm pretty regimented in taking the probiotics.   Is this just my problem or does anybody else feel this way???

Do you mean like you aren't doing enough? Man oh man!!! I have yet to feel like I'm doing 'enough'. Before this insidious disease took over my brain, I was pretty intelligent - not Mensa material, but intelligent enough. So the brain issues I have are incredibly frustrating & irritating!!!

I have felt like it's the only thing I do every day!! That's part of the reason I'm on this forum so much - at least I can give back a little bit here & there to help others who are just finding out they have been infected, or those who are dealing with some symptom & nothing that they have tried is working - at least since it's already got my life - for now- I can still be of use.

I have real issues with trying to develop routines. No matter how many notes I leaves myself (my house gets cluttered with all of my notes pasted everywhere) I still have trouble remembering to dry brush BEFORE I get into the shower or tub!!! A really big frustration for me!!

What you have going actually sounds like a good routine!!!

It'll be interesting to read what others are doing. Great post!!!

For me it has developed into a habit over the years..  My dry skin brush is near where I keep my toothpaste so when I wake it stares me in the face, LOL!

Either I switch off using the infrared sauna or I take a detox bath..   I don't do both the same day.  Foot baths I do most everyday.   It comes automatic when I know I am either going to do some knitting or crocheting or plan on watching a movie on TV..  I keep my phone near by so I don't have to remove my feet..    I have even done foot baths while being on the computer!   Yes, large towel underneath the foot tub..

Every day I drink my Green Vibrance, take CALM (a calcium/magnesium drink), take my supplements.

It's like when you first wake in the morning, you go to the bathroom, either use the toilet first or brush your teeth, hair, etc.  Those are habits..   So detoxing has become that way for me, it has just become a routine..

I think the more you do the detoxing the more it will fall into a habit (a very good habit!)...

I don't know if that helps or not..

The best detox you can do is exercise. I didn't see that you do it in your post and it is most important in recovering from this illness. I would never have gotten well without exercise. Start out doing what you can, even if just a few minutes a day until you can work your way up to more. At first you may herx, but stay with it and you will start to notice a change in how you feel.

Can someone tell me what to put in a foot bath? Is epsom salts enough? I'm going out of town this weekend - no tub available. Want to continue detoxing.

I put the same thing in my foot bath as in the tub, just not as much! Epsom salts and peroxide. I haven't done the ginger part yet, but several on this forum like grated ginger to open the pores. Deejavu could tell you how much to put in the foot bath vs. bathtub, but if she misses this post, then use your own judgement.

Wow! Out of town Knuks??? Congrats....Safe and healthy travels.....

Marlene - I just <3 you, girl. - Just had to say that. I TOTALLY agree with you too about this site.

Mamyou - For me, it's all about planning and committing to that plan and sometimes having a backup plan.

I keep a notebook with me at almost all times with a page for each day with what I need to do at the top and I write my supplements and meds on the bottom. I'm a list person - so it's motivating enough for me to be able to cross off "Detox Bath" in my book. Writing my meds down has been super useful to my doctors as well. So when I say "Hmmm, I've been feeling crummy for about 2 weeks" and then flip back and see what I changed 2 weeks agoish = super valuable. If I know I want to take 3 detox baths in a week, it helps to look in my notebook and see where it will fit in best. I also find I HAVE to set aside grocery shopping time to get good food - otherwise I get lazy and eat poorly.

Hey Congrats to all those who are feeling improvements!!!!!

Mamyou I do get such a kick out of you!! LOL!!! Since you asked - giggle- I boo-booed - it's a scurf rim - not ring. Anyway, Deejavu was the "instigator" this time (LOL) and here is her post;
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scurf Rim came up in another thread and I believe CajunGrl said she has heard of this before.

Well, this is what I have come up with:

If one is overloaded with toxins, the ring around the colored part of the eye is thicker.

This is an interesting article that states this:

"The problem in Western culture of improper skin care can be validated through iridology, the study of the iris of the eyes. If you look into a friend or family member’s eyes, you will notice what iridologists refer to as a "scurf rim"—a dark black outline surrounding the perimeter of the iris. The thicker and darker the scurf rim is, the more congested your skin is. Dr. Jensen has witnessed the scurf rim virtually disappear in patients who incorporated daily skin brushing along with organic foods and a healthy lifestyle."

Below is a youtube video about this as well:

Anyone else find any interesting articles?

Anyway, we bantered back & forth a bit about this in other threads, and then for me, I just forgot about it until one day in my bathroom the thought about my scurf rim surfaced!! And any of you that have read enough of my postings will agree, I just couldn't NOT share!!!

I feel so foolish. In another life I knew about scurf rims...actually have an iridology book somewhere on the shelf in the basement. As I said in another post tonight, I used to know a little about a lot of things in alternative medicine...but not anymore. My brain is mush..... Thanks, Trav. What would we do without you????!!!! And by the way, you're a bit of a hoot yourself......

Awww, Gee Mamyou!!! I was aiming at being more than "a bit of a hoot"!!! shakehead You know, some will say "don't encourage her"!!!

I'm thinking there are probably at least a handful of people in this world that sure would like to find out what it would be like without me - oh well
devil Giggle!! I feel for them. smilewinkgrin

I know what you mean about knowing a little bit about a lot of things in alternative medicine!! I used to even have people ask for my opinion on what they should try next kind of thing - but.... that was another lifetime!!! shakehead

Makes me wonder just how many "life times" I will get to have?? Is this like toys, where the one who has the most wins???? Giggle!!!smhair

Ok you taught me something new - scurf  rim....  I went to my mirror as soon as I finished reading.  I have a huge black circle around my brown iris.  I can't wait till my husband gets home so I can compare!  It will give the words "Look into my eyes" a whole new meaning!  tongue

I don't think I detox enough, so I am going to add more of your ideas into my daily routine, especially the exercising.  In the past I would work slowly up to a decent workout over a period of 3 - 4 weeks, only to get the "flu" or my ankle or knee would start hurting.  Now I realize that it was a herx, for goodness sake!!!
