Can boils /abcess be a lyme symptom - just wondering if anyone else has a problem with these?

Hi Gorbybelle,
I get them every time I run my body down really bad. For me, it seems to be like a "warning" that my body gives me - just before I have to confine myself to my bed. I sure hope it isn't that way for you!!!

I use a "drawing salve" to help clear them up, as well as all the detoxing & that that I can do.

Hi, thanks for the reply - I have heard that boils can be due to the body being 'run-down' - but mine have been around a while now and seem to be getting worse - they are in embarrassing places!! - I am seeing LLMD in a few day's I will have to mention them even though it is a 'male' LLMD.

I was wondering if it could be an 'acne' type infection - ie; hormonal?

I should probably have gone to my G.P. by now but I really do not like any of them - since this whole lyme thing started - I am pretty sure they have 'hypochondriac' written on my notes!!

I have had a few too. I just use a warm compress. The two that I recall when they were I was definitely run down - shortly after having a baby for one and after or during pneumonia with the other. I think they've been more annoying than anything. I have seen them on a list of Lyme symptoms.

I've had two separate instances of abscesses in two months, and my skin doctor tells me that she's seen a TENFOLD rise in abscesses over the last YEAR, with some repeat customers. One was on my face, and the other was on my thigh, and got so bad that it grew to the size of my thigh until antibiotics resolved it. I missed three days of work because of the one on my thigh. I really hope to God that I don't get anymore, they are terrible and scary.
