This is a new one for me. I am used to the joint pain, but now I have this pain that started in my wrists, moved to my forarms(bones?) then elbows, and now is creeping up my upper arm bones. WTH is this? Grrr....

I have had this happening before abx and it got worse, much worse, after abx. I could not pick up the baby, I was wrapping my hands in bandages and I was bending my left arm at the elbow bec it hurt so much to keep it down. the stabbing pain (like hundreds of knifes) in my hands went away, but elbow still hurts and sometimes wrist hurts, still. I think it may be herxing, since most of the pain went away and hopping is not any permanent damage. What concerns me more is that the left side of my body and my face get numb--I think that is more serious. My upper arms also hurt every day (feels more like the muscle than the bone) when I lift them up. EG I am drying my laundry outside in the summer and lifting my arms to put the clothes on the line takes so much effort bec my arms are so week.

Yes, wrists, too. I put those elastic bandages around wrists and hands and that got me through those terribble times, it lasted about a month. It is much better now, so I hope you'll feel better, too! The elastic bandages is the only thing I could think of, but I'm sure there are other things!

RR, I also had bone pain.  I think mine was related to a vitamin D deficiency.  If you haven't had your level checked, I would recommend it.  I had been supplementing with 1000u for over a year and my level was still low.  My husband, whom doesn't have LD was critically low at 13!  None of the doctors I had ever seen, even the LLMD ever suggested checking my Vit D.  Worth checking into.

The bone/long muscle pain was one of my first symptoms...the lack of joint pain fooled me for 1 1/2 yrs that it wasn't Lyme, and diagnosed myself with fibromyalgia. That's the nature of fibro--pain and stiffness all over. Worst are the tops of my forearms, and my shins...like the shin splints you got in high school when you overdid it in sports. Sometimes it is the back of my legs. Lately my ankles have been subject to this.
My D3 levels are fine, and I still have these pains, especially in bad weather. In the summer, the pain is much more tolerable. The only thing that helps me is smearing 80% of my body with a BenGay-type muscle cream (everyone in my family loves me for the smell LOL!) and wrapping my arms and legs in a heated blanket. And narcotic meds, which I only take rarely.
I don't know if this symptom is related to babesia or Lyme....
Yes, Lyme and co-infections are so fun...every day brings new symptoms or combinations of symptoms. I never know what I will wake up to....

I have had this same thing happen to me while on antibiotics. I am not doctor so this is just what I think happened to me. I think the bacteria started hiding in my bones and joints and that's why I suffer with RA today. I would let your doctor know right away. If your muscle in your upper arms are hurting, it could be fibro. I was also diagnosed with that and I also think that Lyme caused it in my situation. As KO posted too, it could be a vitamin D dificiency, so it is a good idea to have that checked as well.

I had bone pain when I was losing bone mass (from RSD...)...might be good to check bone density (simple x-ray based test called a DEXA scan) and make sure you are getting enough calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, boron, vitamin C, vitamin K, protein, and essential fatty acids (all these things are needed for healthy bones). Vit. D helps with calcium absorption, but it is vitamin K that actually helps the calcium get into the bones where it is needed. Food sources of vitamin K and calcium include the dark leafy green veggies such as kale, spinach, collard greens, kelp, etc., and also broccoli. Calcium can also come from dairy, but I find my body doesn't seem to absorb the calcium in dairy products.

Yep. Bone, joint, muscle and tendon pain, I get them all and it just keeps moving around (or it stays and starts up somewhere else too). The deep aching pain that you can't quite even figure out where it is, is the worst.

I seem to go through cycles with what feels like bone pain in my legs. It starts just above the knee & involves the knee & down through my feet. It can get sooo excruciating some times!!! No pain killers - OTC or narcotic - really does anything for it, but they can make me not care quite so much about it!!!
Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we will never cease to be amused!!!! :)
