You're welcome! :)
Cat, do these "hot flashes" make you sweat extremely
heavily, even to the point of drenching your clothing or sheets? If so, you ought to be assessed by a good LLMD for Babesiosis....heavy drenching sweats that hit SUDDENLY are a hallmark of Babesia. Other symptoms include little clusters of spider veins here and there on your body (legs, torso, etc) and "air hunger" which feels like no matter how deeply you breathe you're not getting enough oxygen (I have to try big yawns to suck in more air). Here's a link to a list of symptoms of Lyme and some of the common co-infections:www.anapsid.org/lyme/symptoms/tbi-symptoms.html
And yes, these episodes are MUCH MUCH worse than ordinary hot flashes! I deal with it every day, and have been fighting Babs for months with many different meds (zithromax, Alinia, Mepron, Malarone, plaquenil). Lyme CAN cause sweats and flushing too, but Babs is notorious for this!
I hope you DON'T have Babesiosis, but it's important to try to find out. Once again, just like Lyme disease, the tests aren't very accurate, but a good LLMD can give you a clinical diagnosis.
Take care and please keep us updated! You're in my thoughts and prayers.....
